MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Job responsibilities

• Design semiconductor equipment and mechanical systems, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
• Create parts, assembly and fabrication drawings in SolidWorks.
• Study custormer design requirement, specifications and manuals, to determine feasibility of design or application.
• Adhering to design standards, processes and tools, ensure design conforms to mechanical interface requirement and performance.
• Investigate equipment failures and difficulties, diagnose faulty operation by analysing data and make recommendations, alter or modify design to obtain specified functional and operational performance.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Candidate must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
• 1-3 years of mechanical design experience using SolidWorks is required.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft applications and others.
• 1-3 years experience in Semiconductor industry is a plus.
• Singaporeans and PRs only.

Responsibilities

• Assist with program implementation, with special focus on equipment reliability and safety practices
• Ensure a standard approach is followed within the program sites, and assure that all site commitments are met
• The incumbent will train and administer the local Applications Engineer and Sales Engineers dedicated to program as needed within in the assigned geographic area and for multi-site national and/or international accounts assigned.
• Contribute to the development of policy and procedure guidelines to provide standardization of effort throughout all program sites
• Coordinate establishment of key performance indicators (KPIs) at each program site and coordinate monitoring of KPIs with sales engineers and/or on-site engineers
• Provide engineering/service support at program sites
• Help organize and ensure that quarterly meetings are held at each location assigned
• Establish a regular travel schedule to assigned program sites and establish relationship with key personnel
• Help coordinate/institute preparation of quarterly updates on progress to yearly objectives

Requirements

• Min. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in mechanical seals or rotating equipment/pumps
• Knowledgeable in the alliance contracts in supporting seals, pumps and mixers construction and system
• Hands-on experience, practical approach and able to take and defend decisions on technical issues
• Good understanding of customer requirements and processes in oil & gas, power, water and general industries
• Self motivated team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work well under pressure to meet tight schedules and targets
• Willing to travel when required

Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain electrical systems & equipment including HT and LT switchgears; and plan/supervise its installation, operations and repair for all their projects.
• Carry out troubleshooting, regular inspection and test inclusive of preventive maintenance and repair work and render technical advice.
• Prepare electrical engineering working drawings and specifications with estimates on labour, materials and other related costs of installation processes.
• Check completed electrical engineering work to ensure statutory compliance with specifications and industrial safety standards.
• Study and implement green energy and energy efficiency systems for the Group.
• Ensure fire safety protection system throughout the whole milling complex.

Pre-requisites:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of hands-on  practical experience in electrical engineering work in a large manufacturing plant.
• Able to handle all types of electrical engineering projects and troubleshooting works.
• Candidates  who have an Electrical Engineer’s Licence; and some practical working experience in electronics engineering field work would be an added advantage.
• Self-motivated and resourcefulness with strong analytical skills.
